  1. Will De Ritter is an independent filmmaker whose practice investigates the specifics, textures, and memories of place by means of analogue film processes. His work is rooted in folk traditions and appreciation for local ecologies; he often invites natural materials (foraged soil, river water) to physically manipulate his celluloid through sustained contact, creating true collaborations with locations. His recent research has focused on processing very expired films in ecologically sustainable solutions, fulfilling the potential of long-neglected emulsions.
